Gerald Michael O'Brien - It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our beloved father, Gerry O'Brien from Cape Broyle living in St. John's. He went with his Lord on February 10, 2020.
Gerry was born December 17, 1949 in Cape Broyle. He leaves behind his loving children, Daughter Darlene (Husband Bryce, and Granddaughters, Qwinn and Fallon.) Son Blair (Wife Kyla and grandsons Brodie, Dillon and Lachlan). His beloved Judy and son James. Sisters Marie (Brian Vaughan) Elizabeth (Ed Vardy), Dot (Fred Grunbsy) and Brothers Stan (Peggy), Reggie (Cathy), Felix and sister in law Carol. He will also be sadly missed by numerous other family members. Gerry also leaves behind his little furry friend Penny.
He was predeceased by his mother Rita and father Michael Loving brothers Vince, Tom (Kareen), Ron and sister Shirley as well as sister in law Joy O'Brien.
Gerry always had a joke to tell and a story to share. Dad you will forever be missed!
The celebration of life will be held at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Sunday February 16th, 2020 from 2:00pm-9:00pm. A Private family service will be held a later date.
In Lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to be made to the Canadian Lung Association or SPCA
"Don't grieve for me, for now I'm free; I'm following the path God laid for me."
Michael married Rita HAYDEN, daughter of Ronald Joseph HAYDEN and Elizabeth SCULLY. (Rita HAYDEN died before 23 Jan 2012 2536.)
