Noted events in her life were:
1. Alt. Christening, 30 Sep 1837, Ferryland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 54,189 110116: I am not at all confident that the year of this Christening was entered correctly by the transcriber of the Petty Harbour Vital Statistics, Frank Severn. He made numerous obvious errors in this series of documents and this is quite possibly just one more. The petty Harbour register shows the christening was 30 Sept. 1838
2. Minister/Priest: Thomas J. H. Bridge, B.A, 30 Sep 1838, Ferryland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 185,840

Also, Enid O'Brien added this to a discussion taking place amongst a group of us including her, Kevin Reddigan and Jean Carter Stirling:
" would just like to put my two cents worth in regarding the death and birth of Esther Graham Morry. Like you I do believe her date of death is 25th November 1849. This is on the headstone in Dr. Pocius file, he has also written it in the caption of the headstone in his book. Family search gives her Date of Birth as April 7th, 1837. As the headstone says she died on 25th November 1849 at age 12 years, 8 months this would confirm the date of birth. There is also an obit in the Harbour Grace Standard on November 29/1849 saying 'At Caplin Bay, Esther Graham Morry, youngest daughter of Matthew Morry Esq, Caplin Bay, age 13 years"
I think the answer to the delay in her burial to December 2, 1849 is that she didn't die in Caplin Bay. It seems by the entry in Robert Carter's Diary she died in St. John's and since the headstone is in Calvert the body would have to be shipped there. Re: Carter's Diary " Monday, 26th November 1849. An account of Esther, the daughter of Mr. Morry or Caplin Bay reached this evening from St. John's, she died yesterday. Eliza went to Caplin Bay by request and stayed". This would confirm another source for her date of death and would also confirm that she was away from home when she died, hence, the delay in the burial. With kind regards.
Enid"
