Court: Supreme Court records, Cir 1851, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. ³³³⁰ Hirzel [sic] Le Messurier and Joseph Kirby were called to give testimony as to the transfer and ownership of a certain fishing room in Burin which was sold by Joseph Troke to Elias Fallis on October 15, 1840.

The court documents do not bear the date of testimony but according to the order in which they appear in the court records it was given some time in 1851.

In this testimony we learn that Hirzel was a trader in Burin as early as 1818.
