All or most of the chldren in this family are known to have been Baptised in both the Anglican and Catholic churches because it was a mixed marriage "sub conditione" and they were obliged to raise the children Catholic in order to have permission to marry, but in fact raised them as Anglicans.

Occupation: Tinsmith, Standard Manufacturing Company, Between 1902 and 1955, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 4,32 Birth certificate of Evelyn Mary Wheeler in 1917 indicated his profession as Tinsmith with Standard Manufacturing Company. He worked there from 1902 to 1952 according to the inscription on his long service watch (in possession of John Paul Wheeler). But in fact the inscription on the watch did not take into account 3 more years of service put in after the award, according to a newspaper photograph that appeared at the time of his actual retirement after 53 years.
