[Note that the name was spelled Badcock but that was common and this was almost certainly the person in question]

5. Property: Sale of Timber Cove Fishing Room, 28 Sep 1856, Brigus South, Cape Broyle, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 728 In brief, a portion of the late Matthew Morry II's property in Timber Cove, Brigus South, is being sold by his executors to a man named Badcock whose Christian name is not given either in the covering letter or the description. This is probably actually William Battcock, not Badcock, who was already established in business in Brigus South and owned the property beside this one. The date of the transaction, or at least the letter recording it, was Sept. 28, 1856, a few months after Matthew Morry II's death. This event was shared from Matthew MORRY II JP who also shared it with Peter Paint LE MESSURIER (Trustee), Robert MORRY (Witness), and Thomas Graham MORRY II (Trustee).
