First known Morry home in Newfoundland. Matthew Morry III and his family resided here from the mid 1800s. Holdsworth Property in Ferryland was purchased abt. 1844. It is known that William George Morry was born at Athlone but it is unlikely that any of his older siblings were since the name was not mentioned on their birth records. Most likely the house was purchased by Matthew Morry III shortly before 1850.Constructed ca. 1800.
