Information from David Wells from the Evening Telegram 010208: "HAWKINS, Lorraine M - Entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family at the Palliative Care Unit, Miller Centre on January 31, 2008, Lorraine Mary Hawkins, of Cape Broyle, in her 58th year. Predeceased byher parents, William (1993) and Hilda (1996); her sisters: Betty Welcher (2000) and Catherine Kenny (2007); brother-in-law Fabian Kenny (2006). Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her brothers: Harold (Mary), Mike (Helen) and Vince; her sisters: Bernice (Val O'Keefe),Theresa (Albert Lawlor) and Janet; special nieces: Bonnie (Doug Evely), Robyn Kenny and Ashley Hawkins; special nephews: Roddy Lawlor, Billy Nickerson and Fabian Kenny Jr. Lorraine will be sadly missed by other nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family and friends; as well as the residents and staff of Lawlor's Personal Care Home in the Goulds, where she worked for 10 years. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Friday, February 1st and Saturday, February 2nd from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, February 3rd from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral service to take place from Immaculate Conception R.C. Church, Cape Broyle on Sunday, February 3rd at 2:00 p.m. Cremation to follow. Flowers gratefully accepted or donations in her memory may be made to the Dr. H.
