Elsie Edith Reid was born to Levi and Annie (Chislett) Reid in Hearts Delight in August 1891. She was baptised October 23,1891 Rev.by Thomas W Atkinson. Image 43/196-Entry #33-Births 1891-1892 Cert # 641464.
She was baptized in the Methodist church .
In 1894 the family moved to the Salvation army Church
The family did not become a part of the Salvation Army Church until about 1894 when the first baptised in the Salvation Army Church was Willemina Reid -1894, Hector Levi Reid -1896,

Elspeth's name shows up with her entire family in the 1891 Census but she is shown as married (no husband evident) and her age is incorrect (looks to me like 34 but Ancestry interpreted it as 54). She should be around 23 at the time. And there is a girl called Ann Reid also who is shown as 17. They are both listed as lodgers and born in Scotland. I suppose these could be relatives who came to live with the Reid family and the original Elspeth has married and moved away. It is a bit of a mystery for now.
