260915 Information from GED file provided by Brian Windsor in summer 2015 thanks to Dororthy Elton connecting the two of us:
Peter completed his matric in the middle of the depression of the early 30's and started to serve an apprenticeship in the workshops of a coal mine as a Fitter and Turner.
When war was declared he joined the Air Force and hoped to become a pilot but was rejected because of his background of mechanical engineering of which they were desperately short. During his service he was in Egypt and the 2nd part of the war against Germany found him in the north of Italy in a Spitfire squadron with the groundstaff as a Sergeant.
After the war he returned to the mine where he was still employed and stayed for one year but could not settle down and so joined South African Airways who were to recruit all ex-Air Force trained people. Because of his experiencer he was put in control of the machine shop and during his time there was sent to Belguim, Germany, Holland, England and Switzerland to obtain information for the airline.
In 1962 he was offered a positiom as a technical salesman with a company selling the machines he had worked with most of his life and being weary of the hassles of controlling staff I joined them and from this firm in Johannesburg he retired in 1977 and moved to George.
At first he looked after the interests of a Cape Town firm on a part time basis but after he bought out the partner on one of his son's farm. They farmed sheep and had a peat business before they started with hops which they produced for the South African Breweries.
When Peter retired he became very active in an ex- serviceman's organisation known as the MOTHS which stands for Memorial Order of the Hats and does charitable work amongst ex-servicemen from the first and second world wars.
According to son Brian, Peter travelled to Newfoundland in 1975 where he met members of the Windsor family. 4128

Her name is listed as Sarah Jane when she was married to William George Bradshaw"
140813: No way of knowing when the actual birth took place as it was not recorded on the birth/baptismal record as transcribed on NGB website. What is given here is an error on another transcript which took the baptismal date as the birth date. Also no way of knowing whether the christening took place at St. Phillip's in Aquaforte or St. Luke's in Ferryland as this information was not recorded on the register at Petty Harbour.
1111016: Coincidentally, I discovered on my trip to BC this month that she is buried in St. Luke's Anglican Churchyard in Saanich along with her sister Clara Isabelle and Clara's third husband, Thomas Graham Morry, my great grandfather.

210517:
Note that it is doubtful this family ever lived in Nanaimo though that information is found on a number of family tree websites. This is doubtless derived from a misinterpretation of Census information since Saanich was located in Nanaimo District in those days. I believe they always lived in Saanich from the day they arrived in 1907.

Seymour William WINDSOR Born about 1890. Worked in Johanesberg then came to Windsorton and worked in the family business. He lived in Kimberley where there also was a family home.
070813: It appears from the Peter Dudley Windsor family tree that Seymour did not marry either. That means that only Dudley had children.
