Wellington-A warrant has been issued by the Wellington Bench for the arrest of Albert Cosgrove, charged with wife desertion. He is 29 years of age, 5 feet 7 or 8 inches high, dark complexion, black hair, clean shaved, black eyes, round face, stout and thick set; wearing a light-grey suit and brown felt hat; a horse trainer; addicted to drink.

Apprehensios, &c.
William D. Bishop, schoolmaster, charged on warrant with carnally knowing Angelina Julia Cosgrove, his pupil, she being under the age of 16 years, to wit, 13 years and 6 months, has been arrested by Constable Burton, Coonamble Police. Committed for trial at Coonamble Sessions. Admitted to bail, -- self £200, and two sureties in £100 each.

William Denis Bishop was charged with carnally knowing a girl (Angelina Julia Cosgrove), his pupil aged 13 years and 4 months. On 4 Sept 1889 and sentenced to 5 years penal servitude.

Being a child under the age of 16 years, to wit of the age 13 years 11 months having no visible lawful means of support, at Dubbo on 6th November 1904.
Committal at Wellington 9th November 1904.
Character: Bad. Once throwing a stone in a public street; fined 1 shilling, cost costs 4s 10d or 3 hours L L. Beyond control of mother since 11 years of age, frequently seen with prostitutes and thieves.
Parents recorded as Matthew COSGROVE (deceased) labourer and Elizabeth HOGAN and they had seven children. Mother was described as a widow of good character and living in Wellington.

He is in fact a child of Angelina Julia COSGROVE (1875-1889) who died a few days after his birth and was brought up by his grandparents.
