Joseph Frederick Croft - (September 5th, 1943 - June 11th, 2015) - It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother, Joseph Frederick Croft, of Aquaforte, aged 71 years. Predeceased by his parents, Fred (1964), and Ida (1999), and his sister Anna (2003). Leaving to mourn his beloved wife of 46 years, Carmel, his children, Denis (Leona), Wendy (Bernie O'Brien), Lisa (Rob Crummell), Todd (Donna) and Colin (Patricia). His guidance and gentle, kind ways will be deeply missed by us, but the values such as work ethic, generosity, and kindness that he instilled in us, will live on. He will also be sadly missed by his cherished grandchildren, Denis and Sarah Croft, Alex and Olivia O'Brien, Jaxon Crummell, Zachary and Matthew Croft, Joey and Luna Croft. Also left to mourn, three sisters, Mary (Fred Williams), Catherine (Patrick O'Driscoll), and Phyllis (Joe Dunne). Three brothers, John (Lorraine), Vince (Beth) and Gerry (Marie). Joe loved fishing and he loved his store; he will be missed by his regular customers, whom he looked forward to seeing daily. He will also be missed by his four-legged best friend, Roxy, who looked forward to daily morning walks with him. Visitation at Fahey's Funeral Home, Fermeuse, on Saturday, June 13, and Sunday, June 14, from 2-9 p.m. Funeral mass will be held on Monday, June 15, at 11 a.m. at Holy Trinity Church, Ferryland. Interment at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, Aquaforte. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
