1. Court: GN-5-1-C-1 50-53 Robert Sanders Gift to Children, 10 Nov 1818, Ferryland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. ³⁷⁵⁰ This event was shared from Nancy SANDERS who also shared it with James SAUNDERS (Party), Mary SAUNDERS (Party), Robert SANDERS (Party), and William SAUNDERS (Party).

2. Court: Supreme Court Southern Circuit, "Donald" Saunders vs James Morrison, 14-21 Dec 1829, Ferryland, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. ³⁷⁴⁸ According to Kevin Reddigan's reading of the case:

James Morrison was withholding payment for wood that Daniel had delivered to him. It would appear that Robert Saunders owed money to Andrew Morrison, (the defendant's brother and business partner) so James was trying to make Robert pay up by 'stiffing' his son , Daniel.

3. Interesting: Loss of Daniel Sanders' boat and Provisions, 25 Nov 1835 to 26 Nov 1835, Aquaforte, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. ⁸⁵⁷² Daniel Sanders Sr. was dead at this time. This could only refer to his grandson of the same name:

"Wed. 25 - Wind NE all day with a very heavy sea running & high tide - could not lay alongside the wharf & run in the Pool was so great all day as to make it difficult to hold in the boats along side the stages -it is said Daniel Sanders' boat was stove at Aquaforte and sank today with provisions on board from St. John's belonging to many people."

"Thu. 26 - ...Dan'l Sanders'boat sank in Aquaforte just returned from St. John's having a good deal of provision in her..."
