Holdsworth wanted to apply it against a debt due by the Plaintiff's father but the court saw that the Plaintiff was the sole support of his father and refused. 10. Robert 'Sanders' signed this petition as one of "the principal, but poor Inhabitants" of that settlement. This memorial, signed by Robert and fourteen other heads of families, was then forwarded to Lord Goderich, Secretary of State for the Colonies. 11.
