Her delivery was normal but she had a dislocated hip (no problem to fix these days). When she got older they tried the sand bags hanging from the botton of the bed, the boot with the thick sole, etc., too late by then to get the hip back in the socket.

His declared his home had 12 rooms and was valued at $2000, much higher than his neighbours who were fishermen. But his income was $300, not much more than those involved in the fishery full time.
