I am adding this person today because it seems clear he was the husband of Margaret Murrin (Murrain) who was charged with murder of their second son, William Thomas Field, on 11 October 1879. This information came from Edward Chafe on Newfoundlanders and Genealogy Facebook today but neither I nor Gloria Bruce were able to figure out which of the Philip Fields connected to the Torbay Rd. Wheelers could be this person. In the end we concluded it was none of them and another person of that name not yet connected to the family tree must exist.
This is the first piece of the puzzle - a death certificate dated May 7 1925 for a Philip Field of Torbay Rd. 73 years of age meaning that he was born ca 1853 - just the right age to be the father of this William Thomas Field, aged two at the time of his death in 1879.

From Gloria Bruce 140421:
ALSO, the name CLEMENTS seems to pop up now and again in relation to the Field family. I have found a burial at the Anglican cemetery on Forest Road ... for a Philip Field born Oct 2, 1852 and died May 7, 1925 and also on the same headstone listed is his wife Maria CLEMENTS Field (1861-1941) ... so there you have more Clements coming into the mix it seems. THE KICKER here .... is that THIS is the same Philip Field who was married to the poor Margaret Hannah Murrin. THE MADNESS CONTINUES!!!! <https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/195373860/philip-field>

160421:
Gloria Bruce published on Facebook (Newfoundlanders and Genealogy) four newspaper accounts of the discovery of Philip Field's body by the side of the Torbay Rd. where he evidently suffered a heart attack returning from town having delivered milk to his regular customers and afterwards delivering a cow to Middle Cove. These four newspaper accounts are found in the Media folder. According to Gloria's post "These come from the Daily Globe and Evening Telegram of May 1925" but I don't know which is which.
Found by the side of Torbay Rd. after returning from town delivering milk.
