Kathlyn Jahn Morry

Kathlyn Jahn MORRY Kay Morry born July 1, 1919 passed away at age 85 on January 16, 2005. She was a resident at Faerland Terrace on First Hill for the last years of her life. She was the widow of former SettlePostmaster George J. Morry who predeceased her in 1968. She attended Forest Ridge Convent and St. Nicholas School and graduated from Wellesley College in 1940. She was a member of the Sunset Club, the Seattle Tennis Club, and the Seattle Yacht Club. She was active in units of the Junior League, the Children's Hospital Guild, the Arboretum Foundation, and the Speech and Hearing Club. She was a long-time member of Chess Collectors International and owned numerous and varied chess sets.She is survived by her sister Jeannette Jahn Warren of Issaquah; three children, George Richard Morry of Seattle (wife, Susan Finney Morry), Mary Morry (Mrs. Anthony) Marble of Brentwood, Tennessee and Barbara Morry (Mrs. Michael) Fraumeni of Newton, Massachusetts; and six grandchildren. Her brother Walter Hambach Jahn of Seattle predeceased heron December 28, 2004. Private services. Request remembrances to favorite charity.
