I never knew that Christina Goodall Minty had two sons until I read a letter from her to her aunt Mary Minty Bailey written in early 1942 in which she mentions that she got her two boys back after two years being out of Edinburgh for their protection during air raids. The letter is in the possession of Christopher Bailey. The boys names are Douglas and Norrie (as far as I can make it out).

Scotland's People has two listings of births for a Douglas Oliver Taylor in 1929 in Edinburgh, one in Canongate and one in Dalry and Gorgie Districts. This is too much of a coincidence and I am sure it is a duplication of records. The same thing happened in the case of his brother. The name is a dead give away because it combines his father's and grandfather's Christian names.
