RICHARDS, Samuel Walter (Joe) - On January 20, 1973 (suddenly) at his residence, 3 Commercial Road, Grey Lynn, loved husband of the late Milly, beloved father of Arthur and Cushla (Mrs Burk), respected father-in-law of Lew, Dacid, Paul and Jillian. Aged 71 years. May he rest in peace. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St Joseph's Church, Grey Lynn, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, the funeral then leaving for Waikumete Berm Cemetery.

Left a Will dated 18 November 1972 in which he bequeathed his estate to his son Arthur Samuel Richards. The Will also dircted that he be buried with Mildred Anne Walker-Richards at Waikumete. Probate was granted showing value was under £7,500.
