BURT, Eric- Passed peacefully away at his residence at St. Luke's Home, on May 6th, 2006, retired employee of Imperial Oil and Honorary Life Member of the Royal St. John's Regatta Committee, Eric Burt aged 85 years. Leaving to celebrate his long and happy life, wife Marilyn (nee Caines), son Rick (Eleanor), and step-son Rod (Eileen). Also brothers Jack (Jean), Max (Joan), David (Joan), sister Majorie Rogers and sister-in-law Helen Burt and their families. Special mention of nephews Paul and wife Heather (Eric's guardian angel), and their children Serra and Steven. Also leaving to mourn his loving brothers-in-law Bruce (Estelle and son Clifford) and Derrick Caines, all of Dryden, Ont. His dear and devoted friends John and Peggy Connors and their families especially Judy. Valda Lewis (Brian Dunphy) and her girls Zena and Stephanie. Special mention of "The Boys" and all of their children who for many years were part of his life. As well as a large circle of cherished friends and relatives who brought much joy to his life and left him with many great memories. A special mention of all friends Eric made within the residents and staff at St. Luke's Home. Resting at Barrett's Funeral Home, 328 Hamilton Avenue on Monday, May 8th, from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place on Tuesday, May 9th, 2006 at 11 a.m. from Barrett's Chapel. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers gratefully accepted, or donations may be made in his memory to St. Luke's Homes. Please visit www.barretts.ca to sign the memorial guest book.
