Peter J. WHEELER (1898-1962) |
Peter J. WHEELER 3878
1. Religion: RC: St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. This information found on the 1921, 1935 and 1945 Censuses and John and Agnes are buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. It is possible that John Thomas was C of E but the marriage was a mixed marriage so the children were raised RC. This event was shared from John Thomas WHEELER who also shared it with Agnes (Member), L. Cpl. James Joseph WHEELER (Member), Mary WHEELER (Member), and Phillip Joseph WHEELER (Member). 2. Religion: Roman Catholic. 131 3. Census: Torbay Rd., Household of Agnes Wheeler, Widow, 1921, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 692 From FamilySearch 4. Living: Torbay Road, Between 1921 and 1928, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 33,3879 5. Occupation: Farming, on Farm, Torbay Rd, 1921, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 692 6. Census: Household of Agnes Wheeler, Widow, Torbay Rd, 1935, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 3880 All household members as shown as being RC and of British heritage. The census taker did not distinguish betwen English and Irish, which is strange as that was a major deal in most parts of Newfoundland in those days. This event was shared from Agnes who also shared it with Mary WHEELER (Household Member) and Phillip Joseph WHEELER (Household Member). 7. Occupation: Farm Worker, Torbay Rd, 1935, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 3880 8. Census: 1945 Census of Houshold of Peter Wheeler, Farmer, Torbay Rd, 1945, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 3878 They are all erroneously listed as being of Irish heritage, though it is possible that Agnes and Mary were. Normally the paternal heritage is given for the whole household. They are also listed as RC the same as on the 1935 census so I think we can take it that this was not an error. 9. Occupation: Farmer - Farming, Torbay Rd, 1945, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. 3878 Peter married Mary F. between 1935 and 1945 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada.3878 (Mary F. was born circa 1905 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada,131 died in 1991 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada 131 and was buried in 1991 in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada 131.) |
