The census taker did not distinguish betwen English and Irish, which is strange as that was a major deal in most parts of Newfoundland in those days. This event was shared with Mary WHEELER, Peter J. WHEELER, and Phillip Joseph WHEELER.

Normally the paternal heritage is given for the whole household. They are also listed as RC the same as on the 1935 census so I think we can take it that this was not an error.
