I am going a bit out on a limb here by making Margaret Shannon a daughter of the family of Alexander Shannon and Margaret Miller but it seems justified for three reasons:
1. the location is right
2. the name was not common
3. she has a young man living in her household by the same name as the man who married her presumed sister, Jesse Shannon, in Newfoundland, Charles Livingston(e). I believe that this young man is her nephew.

Robert LIVINGSTON
Obituary

LIVINGSTON _ Robert John, Bob, RJ, "Livy" died peacefully surrounded by family at the Royal Columbian Hospital in New Westminster on October 5th 2004. Born in Vancouver in 1923, Bob lived all his life in British Columbia. He went to sea at an early age and served in the Canadian Merchant Navy during WWII. Upon his return to Canada, he worked in his family company, Livingston Produce Ltd. until its sale in 1979. He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Gwenda; his daughters Susan (Bill Turecki) and Mary-Lou (Pat Creaser); and a son, Andrew (Helene Clarkson). Bob was a colourful and much-loved grandfather to eight grandchildren; Troy, Christopher, Aaron, Riley, Mackenzie, Eliza, Max and Lucas. The family invites friends to join them in a Celebration of Bob's Life on Saturday, October 16th, 2004 at Beach Grove Golf Club, 5946 12th Ave, Tsawwassen from 3:00-5:00pm. (604-943-9381) The family requests that any donations be sent to one of Bob's favourite places, the South Delta Library, 1321A -56th St. Tsawwassen B.C. V4L 2A6
