Note that Geoffrey tied this birth to Henry Morrye of Stoke Gabriel even though it was apparently registered at the registry office in Totnes and not the parish church in Stoke Gabriel. This could be, but it represents a departure from the norm in regard to where the other children of Henry and Joan had their christening/birth registered. I would need to see the original record on microfilm to determine if Geoffrey may simply have made an assumption as to the parents in this case.
