Notes
General:
14/12/02: This relationship to Evelyn Morry's line of Wheelers is speculative for the moment, based solely on the fact that the father's Christian and surnames (John Thomas Carr) and the mother's Christian name (Caroline) appear in Evelyn Morry's father's name and sister's Christian name, plus the coincidence of the location of the Baptism. This needs to be substantiated with better facts.
240308:
The relationship between the two Carr brothers and two Wheeler sisters has now been proved by informartion from Peggy Krause Hansen.
This from Peggy today: "1.JOHN THOMAS TERTIUS CARR( John Thomas/Agnes Cargill, John T. Carr/Matilda Green) born 10 Apr 1853 (IGI P000592). He married Caroline Wheeler of Torbay Rd. From Peggy Krause Hansen 310308: "And lastly, no, this Carr family was not associated with the biscuitmanufacturers in Carlisle although that was a story that circulated in our family as well. My husband's grand-father's first name was Lisle so that seemed to fit!!! The Carrs were "merchant adventurers", aguild that was established in the 1400's I believe. An ancestor William Carr was the first member and the "title" was passed down by patrimony as far down as John Thomas, the elder and perhaps even farther although I have no record of that.
Did you know that John Thomas Tertius was also a Master of Trinity House in 1895 and 1912? This was also an honorary title as far as I can ascertain. I have done some corresponding with the Historian there but not lately."

Given that the parts that do not relate to my Wheeler line are therefore irrelevant to my research I am not copying down all of this information.
