Among arrival from US visiting their homeland on vacation are the Misses Helena and Maud Battcock (formerly from Brigus South) dgts of lateMartin Battcok, well known plantar of that place. They are nursing in the US. Helena holds a certificate from Tookesbury Hospital, Mass,and Post-Graduate Course from New Haven, her sister, Maud has certificate from Arlington Simms Hospital and Brooklyn Avenue Infant's Hospital at Providence, R.I."

Richard and Roberta Sullivan Family Tree have her name as "Babcock".

110807: On the 1920 Census she is resident at Symmes Arlington Hospital as a pupil nurse/assistant earning wages. Her age is given as 25. If my information is correct that should be 30. She seems to have consistently understated her age as she is also shown on the 1930 Census as five years younger than my information shows. It shows her place of birth as Massachusetts but that seems to be an error on the part of the census taker as there are some over-writes with her record and that of the next person and that person shows as being from Canada. In the US censuses it is common to see Newfoundland referred to as Canada for some reason. For example, it shows her parents as being from Canada.

Forever loved and missed by his wife Natalie (Shea) of Saint John, New Brunswick; children: Stephen (Carol), Kevin (Janet), Natalie and Michael (Michelle); grandchildren: Jake, Luke, Josh, Claire, Jillian and George; numerous nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends. Predeceased by his son George William Battcock, parents Jenny (Reddy) and Stephen J.
