From - The Telegram, St. John's, Newfoundland, May 18, 2011 Thomas Gerard Battcock - (June 3, 1934 - May 17, 2011) of Brigus South passed peacefully away at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Tuesday, May 17, 2011. Predeceased by his wife Elizabeth (1999), parents Clem and Bridget, brothers: Mike and John. Leaving to mourn with precious memories, his children: Thomas (Irene), Paul (Paula), Carl (Pam), Noel (Lois), Linda (Chifik), Sandi (Shawn), Barbie (Matthew); grandchildren: Julie, Rebecca, Keegan, Victoria, Patrick, Emily, Connor and Avery; brothers: Len (Millie) and James; sisters: Lucy, Annie, Hannah (Mike), Fedelis, and Nellie; sisters-in-law: Maureen Mackey, Patsy Hawkins and Helen Battcock; brother-in-law Tommy Power. Also, leaving to mourn a large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and special niece Ann Williams. Thomas Patrick Battcock - Passed peacefully away February 15, 2014 surrounded by his loving family at the Leonard A Miller Centre after a long and courageous battle with cancer, age 53 from Brigus South. Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Elizabeth Battcock; his father and mother in-law William and Sheila Sesk; brother in-law Allister Sesk and sister-in-law Rhoda Lundrigan. Beloved husband of 25 years to Irene (nee Sesk). Loving father to his two daughters Julie and Rebecca whom he adored. Dear brother of Paul (Paula); Carl (Pam); Noël (Lois ); sisters Linda (Chafik); Sandi (Shawn) and Barbie (Matthew). Also leaving to mourn are his brother-in-laws Roland (Sharon) Sesk and Colin (Zita) Sesk; Larry Lundrigan and sister in law Linda Sesk. Thomas also leaves behind his nieces and nephews and a large number of relatives and friends including his aviation family from Canadian and Cougar helicopters. Special thanks to the doctors and nursing staff for their care and compassion. Resting at Ryan's Funeral Home, Bay Bulls on Sunday February 16 from 2 p.m - 4 p.m and 7 p.m - 9 p.m and Monday February 17 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial to take place from Immaculate Conception R.C Church, Cape Broyle on Tuesday February 18 at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow. Inurnment to take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ronald McDonald house. His talent and love for music will never be forgotten.
